Entrance Road (Photo: Pete White) For those who do not (want to) drive – get to the festival in an eco-friendly way, and enjoy the scenery en route! For WORLD CEILIDH 2014 we will again be running a return bus service from Edinburgh & Glasgow to Knockengorroch. You cannot book a one-way ticket, sorry, but there will certainly be some empty seats for the return journey – see below.

Please note – Knockbus E-tickets will be emailed to you. Your name will also be on the passenger list with the number of seats you’ve booked when you board.

Thursday bus

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS as to the pick up point in GLASGOW!

The Knockbus will have ‘Keenan of Ayr’ clearly displayed on it.

On Thursday 22 May 2014 the bus will arrive in Edinburgh, Waterloo Place at 12:30pm and leave at 12.45pm, then travel to Glasgow stopping and waiting outside the entrance to Glasgow Caledonian University in COWCADDENS ROAD, opposite Buchanan Bus Station. It should arrive at 1:45pm and will leave Glasgow around 2.00.pm

PLEASE BE AT PICK UP POINT IN GOOD TIME – AT LEAST 10 min before it is due to arrive.

Friday bus – SOLD OUT

We cannot be held responsible if you miss the bus! If there are spare seats, you may buy a bus ticket on the spot. For the return journey, please congregate in front of festival office BY 10.00am for Thursday bus passengers and noon for Friday bus passengers on Monday 26 May. You will be transported to where you were dropped off at the road end from where the bus will leave at noon for the return journey for Thursday passengers, and 2.30pm.for those who travelled to the festival on the Friday Knockbus.

As there are always some empty seats for the return journey, please ask at office on Mon morning 26th May around 10.30am if you would like to buy a one-way seat to return to Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will need to wait until all pre-booked passengers are checked off before you are likely to be allocated a seat. One way to Glasgow £14, one way to Edinburgh £17.
