Scope is British hip-hop artist and songwriter from a small fishing village in the South West of Scotland whose sparse beats could have swept straight in off the Irish Channel. Lyrically he touches on both the personal and political taking you all the way from school bullies to climate change.
At the age of 20 he had early chart success, achieving a UK iTunes hip-hop top 10 and top 40 album. An outstanding performance at T in the Park festival followed in the summer of 2016 giving him the break he’d been waiting for. This was one of the high points of a whirlwind of performances, including headlining various festivals in the UK.
Scope finished 2016 performing a European tour with international rapper Obie Trice just in time to kick off 2017 in style with gigs supporting grime heavyweight Frisco, J-hus, Not3s and Tinie Tempah. Topping off the year with a headline show at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and signing a publishing deal with London based Wardlaw Music.
He’s currently keeping himself busy traveling between Europe and the United States recording new material and collaborating with internationally acclaimed producers including Wizzy Wow, EY, Quab, Da Beat Freakz, Cy Fyre, Macho Psycho and more.
Scope has already collected a clutch of awards including One To Watch and Best Live Performance – The Sunday Herald Awards 2017, and Best Music Video – Infinitime Music Awards 2017.
2018 kicks off with a performance at SXSW in Texas, supporting The Game on his European Tour and, of course, Knockengorroch!
