Take the Knock Bus

SCROLL DOWN FOR bus info and times

Make friends, be eco-friendly and avoid having to buy a vehicle pass with the most excellent Knock Bus.

There are public transport options to get to the site, which is way more eco-friendly that driving your own vehicle (see Travel page). Alternatively take the Knockbus which takes you straight from the central belt to the festival.

Please note: the last 4 miles is by shuttle minibus.

Please also note the following regarding dogs and young passengers, which are conditions of our coach provider Liddell’s Coaches:

  • NO dogs except for guide dogs
  • All passengers whatever age need an allocated seat for insurance purposes.
  • If parents want to sit babies/toddlers on their knee it is entirely up to you but they would still take up a seat within the carrying capacity.
  • Seat belts are encouraged but legally need only be worn by passengers over 14 years of age.

Bus information, times etc. will be listed here once confirmed, please check back nearer the time.

Return to Glasgow / Edinburgh

For the return journey, please congregate in front of the log cabin festival office on Monday 25 May by 10am for BOTH Thursday and Friday bus passengers.

You will be transported to where you were dropped off at the road end from where the bus is due to leave around noon for the return journey. There is no guarantee of when the first bus will be able to leave as the bus needs to be full of returning passengers before it can leave. The second bus will leave when all the passengers have been shuttled down.

Taking account of possible delays (e.g. heavy traffic), once the bus has left from the road end allow at least 2 hours for the return journey to Glasgow and at least 3.5 hours to Edinburgh.

As there are always some empty seats for the return journey, please ask at the log cabin festival office over the weekend and on Monday morning 25 May up to around 11 am if you would like to buy a one-way seat to Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will need to wait until all pre-booked passengers are checked off before you are likely to be allocated a seat. Please pay the fare at the log cabin festival office.
