Knockengorroch is a Community Interest Company. We’ve been running festivals since 1998 with these key aims:
- socio-economic and cultural regeneration of the area
- promotion of multi-culturalism through world music
- support of new and upcoming Scottish music and arts
- developing awareness of Scotland’s upland heritage
There are a range of ways you can support Knockengorroch, other than by buying a ticket, working, performing or trading at the World Ceilidh.
We can offer a range of sponsorship opportunities for for ethical and local businesses with benefits ranging from advertising in the programme to title sponsorship of our dance tent…
Donations are always welcome and we will make sure your contribution gets put to good use. Specific projects which contributions might add to are the Celtic Longhouse as well as site infrastructure and improvements including installation of renewable energy sources.
We are open to partnering with like minded local, national and international organisations and are especially interested to hear from other international festivals who are promoting their cultural heritage and roots music for a modern age.
If you are a heritage organisation or professional who is interested in the historical research Simon Holmes is doing and what we are doing with the land we’d like to hear from you.
