Drawing inspiration from the rhythms and flow of nature, Cuantan’s music grows from simple forms into complex ecosystems of electronic pulses, beats and patterns. Blurring the lines between synths and fiddle, the Scottish Borders based duo move between genres and styles to create a sound that is as intriguing as it is accessible.

Cuantan, meaning oceans in Gaelic, features the phenomenal fiddle sounds of Nick Jenkins who’s folk roots weave, prance and growl over Tom Swift’s electronic beats, loops and samples. Formed in 2023 as an outlet for the pair to experiment with sounds and styles outside of their usual musical zones, the project has grown into a fully fledged live dance party, with a healthy dose of weirdness thrown in for good measure.
