Maggie Wallace and David McKay work together as “Fuaim”, a two-piece collaboration made up of whistles, mandolin, vocals, guitar and harmonica, based near Glasgow, Scotland. Their main objective is to promote and nurture the Scottish folk music tradition. Fuaim takes inspiration from artists on both sides of the Irish Sea; as well as collecting and reviving old Scottish folk songs, the band composes original instrumental tunes and songs. The collaboration looks to explore and showcase the music and stories of rural and oft-forgotten areas, such as Roscommon (Ireland) and Argyll (Scotland).
