Knockengorroch 2026 - Rutabaga

Rutabaga formed in 2001 and are an improvised, honking and skronking, neon-chicken-sledge-catastrophe of a band from Glasgow and Leadburn. Their lineup includes drums, double bass, daxophone, saxophone, megaphone, bass clarinet, trombone, vocals, keyboards, samples, a strange under-water-instrument-called- “the whale” and more…

They are famous for making a small girl cry uncontrollably and dance uncontrollably at the same time. They also once inspired a naked man to throw a pink bicycle at them. .

As expected for a band of this nature and duration, we’ve had various personal over the years. Our current members include James Chapman, Martin Beer, Gordon Kennedy, Martin Fell, Greg Cossar ,Mike Hastings and friends
