Knockengorroch night with A Tribe Called Red

Knockengorroch WOrld Ceilidh 2019 - A Tribe Called Red

The Caves Edinburgh

Friday February 8, 10.30pm – 3am

Knockengorroch’s annual city session will smash it again with the international ground breaking A Tribe Called Red.

The Canadian First Nations’ DJ and producers play powwow step, blending instrumental hip hop, reggae, moombahton and dubstep-influenced dance music with elements of First Nations music, particularly vocal chanting and drumming.

ATCR are rooted in the uplifting and inclusive Electric Powwow nights they hold in Ottawa, Canada. These parties are formed by a crowd of indigenous peoples, music heads, social activists, and anyone looking for a great party!

PLUS: All female Scottish rap trio The Honey Farm, some of the most exciting new voices in Scottish rap. ‘Frank, fearless and very funny.’ (The List) Warning: Explicit lyrics!

The inimitable, trail blazing, winner of best hip hop act at the Scottish alternative music awards, Solareye aka Dave Hook (Stanley Odd).

Tropical bass and more international music to dance to from Samedia Shebeen.

Drums to bring in spring from Na Teachdairean drummers.

Plus of course, always the warmest, friendliest Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2019 vibes…
