Our theme in 2025 is ‘SURVIVAL‘ (MAIRSINNEACHD), of live music festivals, community, language, culture and biodiversity.
For us, SURVIVAL means resistance, strength, staying power, resilience, regeneration, and new beginnings. Together, we are here to survive and to thrive.
To embody these values, we’ve drawn inspiration from the Celtic warrior Goddess, the Morrígan, and her raven. Her sword is not drawn but is always ready. Her endurance and power carry us through challenging times, bringing new life and inspiration. Fresh spring shoots and blossoms follow in her wake.
Knockengorroch has run for 27 years, and over that time, our community has flourished. So many incredible people and so much amazing music have passed through these fields that it’s hard to believe. Some have been coming since they were born; others are just discovering it. Friends tell friends, and those who make it here are the ones it was was meant for. Our community is special, and just as people have gathered here for hundreds of years before us, we believe they will for hundreds more.
In 2025, our festival will once again feature outstanding roots and dance music from around the world, bringing together both fresh talent and beloved artists. Some names you’ll know, others are yet to be discovered.

In 2025 we’ll be getting creative with costumes that reflect SURVIVAL. Go bold! Whether dramatic or silly, all ideas are welcome.
