We are excited to welcome our first featured Sámi artist at Knockengorroch Festival 2024! ⚡️ Inhabiting the lands of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (Sápmi) the Sámi are indigenous people of Europe, traditionally known for their semi nomadic reindeer herding. 🦌Kajsa Balto has established herself as one of the central voices within her generation of musicians from Sápmi. Her approach to yoik, the Sámi singing tradition, and her intuitive way of working across genres, has garnered glowing reviews. She merges ancestral knowledge and modernity, leaving listeners eager for more! 💥Her performance will be accompanied by a workshop, an opportunity to hear more about her culture and the yoik tradition. 🎶More info and video on our website 👉 ...
