BCUC, Grace Sands, Elias Alexander, Dallahan, Mungos Hi Fi Sound System and the Deltones will join many more global fusion traditional and electronic dance music acts for the best party in the lush Carsphairn hill of South West Scotland this May.

South African Uhuru indigenous funk 7 piece Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness aka BCUC will top the open air Greenstage on Saturday night. Dropping in on a UK visit this internationally renowned band give contemporary voice to the ancestral traditions of indigenous Bantu people. Jazz sounds of 1970s and ‘80s productions replaced by hip-hop influences and punk-rock energy, taking the listener on an intriguing epic journey. They are multiple world music award winners, and have become known for their explosive live performances.

Grace Sands influence runs deep through UK club culture, as a free party pioneer and world-renowned underground house DJ and producer. In the mid-80s, Grace was a key, core member of legendary, free-party collective, the DiY Soundsystem. She is now resident DJ at Adonis (London’s monthly queer party) and Glastonbury’s Block 9.

Mungos Hi Fi Sound System full rig. Part of the family, Scotland’s heavy weight dub reggae sound system, producers, DJs and record label crew are back with full rig to play us all through the weekend in our dance tent.

Elias Alexander weaves together melodies from the Scottish and American traditions, with catchy beats, and original songs that discuss themes of alienation, belonging, and queerness. He wields bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, Gaelic vocals, whistles, and keyboards on stage while deftly looping and sampling to build energy. Elias plays with the Old Blind Dogs on their US tours and became an instagram sensation in 2020 with his track FIDDLE DISCO!

TC & The Groove Family are a 10-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the community that music can provide for everyone. Originally formed in Leeds, their sound reflects the diverse musical and cultural backgrounds at the core of the project, with songs exploring grooves and genres from the UK and around the world, including afrobeat, broken beat, jungle, jazz and grime.

The Deltones were one of the few female ska/reggae bands in the 80s.Formed in 1984 by members of The Body Snatchers. Their debut album, Nana Choc Choc in Paris, featured trumpet player Penny Leyton, saxophonists Anna Keegan and Nicky Ford, guitarist Serena Parsons, keyboardist Julie Liggett, bassist Angela Risner, and drummer Jeremy Brill. The group disbanded shortly after the release of their second album, Oddball Boy, but have now re-grouped and are on the road again!

Elaha Soroor is an Afghani singer, composer, and activist based in London, whose artistry amplifies the voices of women and marginalised communities. Kefaya were formed by London-based musicians Al MacSween, Giuliano Modarelli, and Joost Hendrickx. Together they are Kefaya and Elaha Soroor: blending synth-rock, post-punk, and jazz psychedelia with the rich textures of folk music from Afghanistan, creating a sound that transcends borders and genres.

Forged in Scotland and Ireland’s traditional music scene, and drawing on the music of the Balkans and North America, Dallahan take their listeners on a journey. Traversing styles and countries of the world in a dazzling live show, they create their own unique brand of World-folk delivered with stunning virtuosity.  Featuring Jack Badcock on guitar and vocals, Ciaran Ryan on banjo, mandolin and fiddle, Andrew Waite on accordion and Benedict Morris on fiddle.

3 Daft Monkeys With Celtic and Eastern influences, the 3 Daft Monkeys’ dynamic style of world folk music reflects the global village in which we now live. Their infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey of the senses and emotions and will leave you breathless, enthralled, and exhilarated. It’s great to have them back in the field!

Mal is a Scottish powerhouse, new to the scene, that blends underground electronic sounds with traditional music in a whole new light. The band is led by harpist Malachy Arnold, who places the harp at the forefront of genres like techno and more. He is joined by Finn MacPherson (whistle/pipes), Macaulay Ross (fiddle), and Gillie O’Flaherty (synth/keys). Together, they create a unique and electrifying sound, merging traditional instruments with hard-hitting, euphoric grooves from techno, house, and jungle.

The Micro Band Outsider-pop’ compositions and fierce reputation as a live band. Expect tight, explosive pop songs slathered in lush harmony and feel good energy. 2026 sees the band release their self titled album which promises to be their truest expression of work to date. 

Everyone’s favourite voodoo tropical sound system Edinburgh based Samedia Shebeen are back for a takeover… Better limber up!
