Knockengorroch 2026 - Birdvox

Its here! Our second announcement completes our full line up for Knockengorroch 2026!

See here for all artists on the bill! Read on below for those just announced!

Exciting new additions to our first announcement include:

Zion Train, a British dub ensemble originally formed in 1988 in Oxford, known for their innovative blend of reggae and dance music from the 90s onwards. One of the most unique and enjoyable live dub acts on the planet, their use of dynamic onstage dub mixing, whilst performing alongside acoustic instruments and exceptional vocalists, make Zion Train one of a kind and a Knockengorroch favourite over the years..

DJ Food, an electronic music project currently headed by Kevin Foakes. It was conceived in 1990 by Jonathan More and Matt Black of Coldcut and the Ninja Tune record label. Eclectic and bold, Food promises to take Knockengorroch party goers on a journey.

British drum and bass DJ and record producer Ray Keith. He is one of the genre’s most well known producers and DJs, and is regarded as one of the pivotal figures in the early jungle/drum and bass scene. It will be his first appearance at the festival in the hills.

Optimo, one of the greatest club nights in UK dance music, returns to Knockengorroch in 2026 with Jonnie Wilkes at the forefront. Now also one of Glasgow’s most respected and eclectic record labels, the music world was devastated to hear of JD Twitch’s (Keith McIvor) tragic and untimely passing last year – a widely recognised and respected pioneer in the field. Appearing first at Knockengorroch 10 years ago, Jonnie will return for an anticipated Friday night set.

An Dannsa Dub Live Dub Set (The Dub Dance in Gaelic),  the brainchild of producers Tom Spirals (Flute, MC) and Euan McLaughlin (Fiddle). Their energetic original sound fuses the mystical energy and instruments of traditional Scottish music and Gaelic song with the heavy, meditative, driving basslines of dub music.

Miwa Nagato-Apthorp, an artist and musician based in the Scottish Borders. Her songwriting draws on folk traditions to explore multicultural understandings of history, climate, womanhood and home. Released in May 2025, her album Noren collates songs that draw on Scottish and Japanese folk traditions, exploring Miwa’s dual heritage from multiple perspectives.

Birdvox were born from a mutual love of birds, harmonies and kitchen discos, a dynamic folk fusion group formed by four of Scotland’s highly respected and best known artists Sarah Hayes, Inge Thomson, Jenny Sturgeon and Charlotte Printer.  Their much-anticipated debut album Shamming The Drama will be released on Hudson Records in September 2026, a post-folk, post-pop, post-pigeonhole. It’s the sum of all its parts. It’s what happens when you rewrite the recipe, shake the kaleidoscope, and make a record only these four people could make, together.

Scottish based band Awry are ready to delight with their original mirthy sound and fusion of  traditional acoustic instruments, powerful soundscapes, and the Gaelic language. Presenting the infamous Knockengorroch ceilidh which is wont to dance up the hill and back, these festival favourites return with a music style to make you dream, doodle, and dance.

Spider Ink, a collaboration formed in 2025 between London Jamaican musician Spider J and Native American singer from California Inkie Skye, will showcase their traditional Jamaican Rocksteady influenced sound with a modern twist to Knockengorroch’s meadow this year. Both have collaborated with various artists over the years, including The Mad Professor, Chrissy Boy and Thommo of Madness.

Blending Celtic harp, electric guitar and finger drumming into a fusion of traditional folk roots with energetic dance music genres is Harpmonix. A live looping solo project, Harpomonix has evolved to include drum and bass, dub, house, and ‘harp-tek’, reimagining Irish traditional music and dance music through live instrumentation, spanning the wide range of sonic possibilities not yet explored with the Celtic harp.

From Glasgow, musical project Makongo – a progressive and alternative hip-hop live collective made of local and migrant musicians united by the desire to create a sound that is both unique and meaningful. Makongo recently released their debut album, Passport, which brings together ten artists from seven countries to blend their influences in a genre-fluid 9 track collection.

Anarcho-klezmer band Och Vey, who take the traditional folk music of Eastern European Jews and fuse it with a punchy backline. Knockengorrocher’s can expect a generous dose of high octane, dance inducing, and punk infused klezmer music, paired with soaring clarinet solos, wailing fiddle, crunchy guitar, pounding drums, arresting accordion, and a large quantity of bass.

A cosmic collision of African soul, tribal rhythms, and interstellar funk, Asazi Space Funk Explosion will fuse Afro-funk, hip-hop, tribal rhythms and future grooves into a high-energy, genre-bending sound this summer. Part ritual, part rave, Asazi Space Funk Explosion are guaranteed to get Knockengorroch moving.

Acid House Therapy’s sets are always unique, splintering off into sound journeys of electro, acid house, dubby, techno, and other electronica with the simmering 303 at its core, while bringing a fresh, cheeky and charismatic edge to these timeless genres. AHT will bring his collection of carefully researched sound devices and instruments to Knockengorroch, switching up to fit the vibe of the dance at any moment.

Another veteran of the UK’s jungle and soundsystem scene, with countless events and various releases and under his belt as co-owner of the Jigsore soundsystem, is Humb. With some of his classics still having a large cult following 10 years after their release, Humb is sure to get the crowd moving at the Giddy Up venue.

Bringing a visual-audio feast to the festival is indietronica act Other People’s Leisure. Merging live performance with custom visual production, Other People’s Leisure’s work is built around dual-projector setups and intricate soundscapes. Their shows transform intimate spaces into immersive experiences; they are fast becoming ones to watch in the Scottish electronic scene.

Situated in the iconic Longhouse venue, Cera Impala will return with her unique musical skills. Mixing the pure and poetic, Cera’s whiskey-honeyed voice and storytelling sound is set to take audiences to another time and place – one of dreams and magic, where the listening experience is as sensual as it is wild and free.  Cera presents Half Moon Medicine Showcase feat Whisky Moon Face and others.

Jemima & The Fuse is an experimental, alternative folk act based in Scotland, known for their “enveloping tapestry of dark songs and bright rhythms”. Rooted in traditional folk balladry, the band reinterprets the genre with contemporary, brooding electronics and rich instrumentation to create a unique avant-folk sound.

Based in the Scottish borders are a traditional fiddle and Scottish smallpipes duo Luisa Brown and John Anderson. The duo were both born into families of traditional musicians and brought together through music.

Knockengorroch’s new expanded children’s area will be housed in the brand new Clann Tent.  Scottish Gaelic for ‘Children’, The ‘Clann’ Tent will house children’s activities and family workshops from local children’s providers during the day and a family friendly headset disco in the evening, reflecting Knockengorroch’s commitment to all ages.

Further artist attractions include –

Cirqulation, a touring contemporary circus show, Journey is a stunning, emotionally resonant ride through stories of change, challenge, and connection. Created by Edinburgh-based company Delighters, each edition features a fresh mix of aerial, acrobatics, dance and poetic storytelling; all connected by a powerful central theme.  Taking place under the open sky, JOURNEY is a heart-warming, immersive experience.
