As many may have noticed, 2026 will be an unusual and special festival.  We announced a condensed version of the event after experiencing a tough 2025.  We then lost festival founder, husband and dad Simon Holmes just before Christmas.  2026 will be dedicated to Simon with the BIGGEST party and also allow space to reflect and remember. It is going to be a very memorable and beautiful event.

It’s Chinese Year of the Horse which also happens to be Simon’s birth animal. To celebrate, our brand new venue Giddy Up will preserve elements of the Shieling, Maddie’s and Taigh Tents in one space.  During the day, workshops, stand up and singer songwriter performances will take place. From 7pm to 5am DJs make party like only Knockengorroch knows how..

Our Fraoch stage will run in tandem with the Bo Airigh greenstage, presenting the best of local and underground live music talent.

Our Clann Tent will host an expanded Tigtree kids area with Kidding Around and Bairn Banter,  children’s workshops and the Headset Disco on Friday and Saturday nights till late.  

Expect all the usual workshops  plus some,  spread across the Giddy Up, Wierdigans, Clann and Disgee Polytunnel venues.
